Objective: The Piper BootCamp covers equipment and fittings necessary for routing pipe from nozzle to rack to nozzle. The topics covered are chosen to prepare for the SPED Professional Piping Designer Level I Certification test. The SPED PPD Certification Test is given on the last day of the course.
This course is recommended for Piping Designers who are familiar with drafting principles and elementary design layout who desire a solid review of pipe design basics leading to an internally recognised credential.
It is a very dense course and is packed with hard to find material covering a broad span of essential material. It will move at a very fast pace.

What is PPD Level I Certification? The Society of Piping Engineers and Designers (SPED) has worked with industry to establish four levels of Professional Piping Designer Certification. PPD certification has become a widely accepted 3rd party credential of pipe designer competency. PPD Level I allows pipers to demonstrate they have the basic knowledge needed to route process pipe.
